Whatever I'm talking about

gofallinawell:

I really fucking hate when members of the LGBT community treat others within the community like they don’t belong or like their sexuality/gender identity isn’t real. Just because you can’t identify with or relate to a certain sexuality or gender identity, doesn’t make it any…

“What compels me to fight this society is, of course, outrage over injustice, a love of freedom, and a feeling of responsibility for perpetuating and enlarging the human spirit - its beauty, creativity, and latent capacity to improve the world. I do not care to come to terms with an irrational society that corrodes all that is valuable in humanity, that eats away at all that is beautiful and noble in the human experience.
Captalism devours us. At the molecular level of everday life, it changes us for the worse, and it compels people to make extremely unsavoury rationalisations for why they believe things they know - or at least they once knew - are false and for doing things that are trivialising and dehumanising.
When we struggle against capitalism, we are really struggling against our own dehumanisation, and once we become fully cognisant of that, then the danger of surrender to the system reinforces our resistance. As revolutionaries, we are fighting not only for a better society but for our very humanity”
- Murray Bookchin (1921-2006)

A Sex Video That Will Surprise You - Girls Going Wild in the Red Light District

Keep watching till the very end. It’s bloody brilliant, not to mention very moving.

howdoesitfuckingfeel:

“Feel like self harming? Committing suicide? Feeling like no one cares?”

Stop there. Don’t do it. Do not pick up the blade, don’t pick at your thighs, don’t pick at a certain spot until you bleed. Put down the scissors, lower your hand and stop for a minute. Think about what you are…

this video is kinda long, but you need to watch it. apparently, we (being the LGBTQ community) are going to bring down america and allow muslims to take it over because we can’t have kids (but we can adopt, remember that). so the government should give huge tax breaks to heterosexual couples who get married and especially those who have kids and/or ADOPT. also, by not having kids we are going to wreck the economy, eliminate churches, cause the outsourcing of all jobs, and essentially kill this country through lack of a work force and military. we also go against god (nothing new) not only because of the biblical law books, but because, in this guy’s own words, god gave adam a wife not a “hunting buddy.” oh, and you could be forced to pay health insurance for “dudes who will never have kids.” but wait, there’s more. this “preacher” (and i use this term very loosely) laughs with the congregation at anyone who feels that they need gender reassignment surgery, claiming that god designed your gender to be your biological sex and any gender dissatisfaction means being an affront toward god.  any child that shows gender-nonconforming characteristics deserves to be beaten. even if a boy does the “limp-wrist thing” or a girl acts too “butch.”

“If you want equality, then you have to…”

dionthesocialist:

Alright stop right there. Take a look at the first part of that sentence.

You’re telling folks that their equality, their status as a fully formed human being, is something they have to earn, something you have to approve of, something they are not automatically entitled to.

I don’t care who you are, who you’re talking to, or what the second half of that sentence is. You’re wrong.

gaywrites:

Jay ‘Corey’ Jones, an openly gay 17-year-old from Rochester, died by suicide last week, according to the Huffington Post.

Jones’ father, Jay Strader, said his son had severe depression and was bullied at school for years. He was an active member of his school’s GSA, and his friends are asking for people to wear pink shirts to his funeral in honor of his commitment to LGBT rights.

Suicide is preventable, and no matter what you’re going through, there are people out there who care about you and who can help you. If you or someone you know needs help now, please, please, please call The Trevor Project’s lifeline at 1-866-488-7386. You are never alone.
